GarField Microelectronics Ltd. is an independent silicon design house and fabless semiconductor supplier. Since its acquisition of Matrics Ltd it offers you a wide range of services associated with custom silicon products. As GarField and Matrics are such well respected names within the industry we shall continue to trade using both names although the management and infrastructure is now common.
We offer ASIC/FPGA design from specification to layout and right through to fabrication, test and supply of the final product. We also offer a full custom design service using our highly experienced Analogue Engineers, completing the process with our chip layout team targeting one of the many silicon foundries with which we currently work.
We work on a wide variety of projects from low cost products to Hi-Rel and Space applications, from a few digital gates to complete systems-on-a-chip containing millions of gates and highly complex analogue blocks. With a wealth of high quality design experience we have developed a wide range of silicon proven custom IP blocks from simple PLLs to complete product designs. The company also offers its own in house silicon prototyping de-bug test service; a valuable service to all customers needing quick feedback on first silicon.
We have a reputation for technical excellence with both our suppliers and customers. We have a very strong, dedicated group of engineers capable of engaging with our clients at all levels. GarField has been in existence since 1994 and Matrics since 1987, our combined engineering experience stretches into hundreds of years.
Added to this is our experience with silicon vendors and EDA tool manufacturers. All this gives our customers a qualified route to turn designs and ideas into silicon, both in time, within cost and with minimal risk.
